Sofa Bed FAQ's 1) Are ScS Sofa Beds Comfortable? Sofa Beds are just as comfortable to sit on as a sofa, they look just as good and if you have guests staying over, or a kids sleepover there's always a extra bed to sleep in. They come in all shapes and sizes and the beds are just as comfy as a real bed! 2) How to get the best night’s sleep on your new sofa bed? Top it off The sofa bed mattress is specifically designed to be flipped and stored away easily. Whilst the mattress is naturally thinner than a regular mattress which would struggle to be moved in the same way, you can easily top up your comfort levels with a mattress topper. Choose a topper that’s between 2 to 3 inches thick - not so thin that you’ll still feel the firm mattress base, but not too thick that you’ll sink and struggle to get in and out of bed! If you’re looking to add a little extra comfort at short notice, sleeping on a duvet will do just the trick too. Plump it up Provide proper pillows for your guests, and they won’t be able to tell the difference. Even better, plump up the area around the pillows to offer some extra support and stability for the sleeping pillows. Block it out Your sofa bed won’t be in your bedroom, so have a look around the room. If any light peeps through the curtains, invest in some blackout curtains to turn any room into an ideal sleeping (or napping) spot. 3) How do you unfold a sofa bed? Our ScS sofa beds are easy to unfold with a two-fold mechanism. Just remove the back cushions, grab the top of the mattress, and pull it out away from the sofa to unlock the metal frame Some of our small 2 seater sofa beds, even keep the cushions attached as you fold out the bed - easy! Top Tips Pop on a mattress protector to guard your sofa bed against stains. With the bed folded closed, give the sofa a good vacuum for loose crumbs and dirt, taking off the sofa cushions as you go. With the bed opened out, remove the mattress cover for cleaning and give the mattress a once-over with the vacuum nozzle. Check the sofa’s labels to give the fabric sofa a spot-clean using an upholstery cleaner, or use a damp microfiber cloth if you’re cleaning a leather sofa bed. Use that same damp cloth to go over any non upholstered sections of the sofa bed, including the metal frame and sofa legs. Give the frame and wooden legs a good sweep with a dry cloth to finish! Always give your sofa bed a good clean before and after use. Treat it just as you would your own bed, and you’ll have overnight guests wanting to stay over that little bit longer.
