Beige living room ideas

As beige becomes the go-to colour for all things interior, I want to share my pick of beige sofas and discover why beige is all the rage. I love how @victorian_reno_project has styled their Soho sofa in Manhattan Acorn in their beige space.

Far from boring, beige possesses an understated elegance that stands the test of time against any interior fad.

Designed to blend in effortlessly with countless interior styles, it’s easy to see why beige is back, replacing the usual neutrals that have more recently graced our homes.

A warmer alternative to the cool tinges of white or grey, beige brings a cosier colour scheme that creates a calming and comforting environment and a clean, unblemished aesthetic.

Beige is a classic, ageless shade. Commonly known for being plain, beige provides the perfect foundation for creating a beautiful, fuss-free, soothing space.

One of the most versatile colours, beige lends itself beautifully to a plethora of colour palettes, from playful pinks and pastels to rich, royal blues. Beige is also a perfect complement to many on-trend earthy colours, such as rust, amber and terracotta, or nature-inspired colours like greens and browns.

Beige living room ideas

There are many different ways to use beige in the home. From paint and wallpaper choices to staple pieces of furniture like sofas and chairs, and soft furnishings like cushions, curtains and rugs.

Add a blanket of beige to your living room with a beige carpet – a timeless choice that will go with any interior scheme and never go out of style.

Beige can also be used as an accent colour. Break up a vibrant wall with some beige wall art or add some beige cushions covers to a dark sofa.

Beige is a brilliant subtle colour scheme for a family space. Its light tones help any room feel airy and relaxed, making it an ideal choice for a space that is generally used by multiple people and tends to take on many uses – from relaxing and hosting to working or playing.

If you want to keep the look laid-back but still sophisticated, add natural textures like wood, linen and jute.

What colour goes with beige?

Beige is a hugely versatile colour that can be paired with a myriad of shades.

If you want to break up the beige with a complementary colour, there are many shades you can pair beige with for your interior décor.

A green and beige living room can add a vibrancy to your interior without being too loud. If you want to make a big impact, a blue and beige living room offers a fantastic contrast due to the sandy hues of beige warming the naturally cool tones of blue.

Or, take on a softer version of the monochrome look with a beige and black living room.

Beige is so adaptable that even shades as equally neutral to itself will work wonderfully, such as white or cream.

A grey and beige living room also looks very elegant and will give your home a contemporary and streamlined look.
