As the air turns from frosty to fresh and the first sprigs of foliage begin to appear, pring is a perfect time to change up interiors and give your home a refresh,

but it doesn’t need to be complex or extravagant there are some cost-effective,

quick and easy changes you can make that will transform the look and feel of your rooms and be right on trend for the spring and summer seasons.

Here are some of my best simple ways to put a little Spring into your living spaces:

1. Going bright and bold with colour

Spring is the perfect time to introduce bold and bright colours into the home with yellows, pinks and oranges being fantastic options for the time of year.

Grabbing a tin of paint and sprucing up a feature wall with a fresh coat can have an immediate impact after only a couple of hours work.

Looking to accessories is also a great way to inject new colour.

Cushions, curtains and rugs can easily be switched out with the seasons, keeping your room in line with the time of year without taking up too much of your time or money.

2. Create a plant paradise

Nature comes back to life in spring, and we start to see more flora and fauna being part of interior schemes.

We've seen biophilic design take on many forms recently through ongoing trends #cottagecore, #farmcore and more recently, #forestcore, all amassing millions of views on TikTok;

And of course the everlasting Botanicals trend, that never seems to go out of style.

These all involve using various shades of green and earthy tones to make your home feel like an urban jungle, combined with nature-inspired patterns and designs.

Try using plants of various sizes and including the colour green across your décor - from wall décor and artwork to furniture and accessories.

Embrace biophilic designs; leaf and floral prints will elevate the look and keep the theme throughout the seasons.

3. Create spaces that make you feel good

The sensory aspect to a home is vital and incorporating some feel-good feels in homes and mindful spaces has becoming increasingly important.

Introduce comforting ‘luxe textures’ and ‘textured fabric’ to give your room a cosy, relaxed element, evoking a sense of safety and comfort.

Layering up different textures and fabric, offers up the chance to create a room that feels good, both mentally and physically.

This mood-boosting trend is one to indulge in, so really experiment with different materials.

The key is to incorporate some of your favourite materials and textures that will allow you to relax in the space and enjoy the light and warmth of spring and summer.

4. Put curves in all the right places

Curves, waves and arches in the home have all made a comeback in the past year, making rooms flow with ease whilst being a statement pattern to embrace.

Creating curved patterns using paint on walls and furniture can completely transform a room whilst giving it a unique touch that will make the space memorable.

5. Utilise mirrors

Mirrors are the master of giving the illusion of space. They immediately bounce light around rooms, making everything feel more open and spacious.

Placing mirrors opposite rooms or in corners that need brightening up is a fantastic solution to expanding the light of a room in a natural, non-intrusive way, brightening up the space to create an airy and inviting environment.
